Neutrogena Warming Blackhead Cleanser Hardens Up

I had talked about a Neutrogena anti blackhead product several months back – heck, maybe even a year ago now, it’s so hard to keep track of time these days. It’s called Neutrogena Warming Blackhead scrub and cleanser, and it comes in a tube that if you use very little with every use, it could probably last you a really long time.

However, the problem, as my live in boyfriend and I are discovering, is that after you’ve had it a while, the product dries up in it’s tube and becomes impossible to squeeze out through the hole/opening. I even tried warming the tube under the hot shower for a minute or two, since it is in fact a warming formula that responds to heat and becomes liquidy when heated, but to no avail.

I’m thinking it’s designed to expire or become unusable after several months, because I will admit we’ve had it for a long time. We both like it, and use it only on our noses because we both have problems with blackheads on our nose, like most other people, so I’ll probably end up forking over another seven bucks or so to get another tube.

Too bad it didn’t last though. I’m kind of surprised, because it’s really an airtight container too, and we never left it open, but maybe we did something wrong in storing it in the shower. I still would recommend this product if you have stubborn blackheads. Although it doesn’t totally get rid of them, it does appear to help shrink and clear the pores around the nose, and I really hate that look of large pores around the nose area.
