Home Made Skin Scrubs From Your Cupboard

Everybody wants to have nice skin. When you meet someone new, the first thing that you see is the skin, and it is most likely what you will remember about that person. Logically, since first impressions can really be everything, it is important to try your best and keep your skin looking younger, healthier, and more energetic.
Of course, just as important as keeping your skin healthy, you have to think about keeping your wallet healthy, too.

It is much better if you can use the homemade facial mask instead of readymade. There is plenty of simple and natural ways to keep the skin on your face beautiful that can be found right in your own home, and are safe for any type of skin!

Use the homemade facial mask which suits your skin:  first identify your skin type before you apply the homemade face mask. It is best to try out a few of the homemade facial masks suited to your skin type and discover which of them is the most helpful to you.

Here are some facial scrubs and masks that you can make on your own in your kitchen. Oatmeal is always a great way to keep your skin smooth and soft, and it evens out your facial skin color tones for a naturally radiant glow.

To make easy oatmeal face mask, buy regular unbleached oatmeal, and mix it with water and egg whites. There are no specific amounts, just mix them until they are constancy similar to sticky bread dough. Once it is all mixed together, stir in a tiny bit of honey, and rub it on your face in small circles.

You do not have to leave this mask on very long; about five minutes will be enough for it to work. Rinse it off in the sink or shower, and there it goes… smoother, softer, healthier facial skin within minutes. Another mask good for our skin is made from cucumber.

We make a paste by mixing one small cucumber and one cup of oatmeal. Then, we mix one teaspoon of this paste with one teaspoon of yogurt for oily skin or milk malai for dry skin, and leave for 30 minutes and then wash.

Also, honey is well known ingredient in cosmetic industry. We could easily made face mask only with honey. First we clean our face with warm water to open up the pores. We apply honey on our face, and leave it for half an hour. Then, we wash it with warm water, and after that we use cold water to close the pores.

Acne Treatment with Tetracycline

Acne is common skin problem, often treated by dermatologists. In fact, it can affect almost every one of us at any time, but teenagers are the ones who get it most often. Alternative treatments for acne are one of the fastest growing methods to treat acne because people are so aware of putting drugs and chemicals into their body that can be potentially harmful, but not everyone can be successful with this kind of treatment. When acne appears, the first thing people do, they buy various acne products.

For some lucky ones these cleansers work just fine, but in many cases they don’t. What is next? Next would be an advice from your dermatologist before using any kind of medicine, who will suggest you a prescription acne medication or treatment.

You need to start by finding out what causes acne. Once you know what is happening to your skin you will be better able to deal with it. Using antibiotics is known to be an effective way to cure acne. A variety of prescription medications are used today to clear acne. Tetracycline is the most widely prescribed antibiotic.
This antibiotic is used to treat various bacterial infections.

It helps in treating gonorrhea, Chlamydia and is an effective drug for treating acne. Tetracycline works well in reducing the acne not only on the face but on other parts of the body as well. It works by fighting various pathogens and bacteria present in the body. It is used to kill the bacteria responsible for the acne. You may need to take treatment for several months to clear spots. It can take at least two months before any improvement is noticed.

If you are taking this drug for long-term use, as many with acne do, you should be very careful, because it can be dangerous. While you use this medication, it can cause side effects like dizziness, stomach upset, vomiting and diarrhea. It can also cause fever, breathing difficulty, swelling in genital area or swelling of the face. This medication should be not be consumed by pregnant or breast feeding women or children under 9 years of age.

The benefit of tetracycline is that it is far-reaching, reducing acne on your face and body. However, tetracycline use may come with certain side effects, dangers and restrictions.

Therefore it is not recommended to use it as the long term treatment of any disease or condition like acne. It will destroy the body immune system and will produce the long term bad effects on the body. The main problem with tetracycline is that it destroys your body’s primary immune defense, the friendly bacteria in the colon. That causes your body to be dependent on the anti-biotic.

Since tetracycline is a prescription drug, it should be taken exactly as prescribed. Many sufferers believe that tetracycline is a very good agent to cure the acne and can be used for the long term acne treatment and may be the best treatment. However, what they don’t realize is that long term use of any antibiotic diminishes their supply of good, healthy bacterium in the colon and intestines, which can lead to bowel problems. Some studies have even linked long term antibiotic use to breast cancer.

Will acne return after treatment? This is a common question among acne sufferers. Once the spots have cleared, acne commonly flares up again if you stop treatment. Therefore, after the spots have gone or are apparently reduced, it is common to carry on with a ‘maintenance’ treatment to prevent acne from flaring up again.

When you’ve got acne, all you want to do is get rid of it and often times this means you may make decisions that are not completely well informed about what the alternatives to medical acne treatment are. The good news is that you can! Don’t think that this information is waste of your time. Be sure that they get you one step closer to clearer skin. Let it be your challenge!

Benefits of Skin Cleansing Devices Like Buf Pufs and Clarisonic

Every one of us desires beautiful, glowing skin. This applies mostly to feminine population. Almost every girl has a little something in her skin tone she wants to mask, correct, or attempt to even out. This depends on how you take care of your face. There are so many ways to beautify your skin; all you need to do is to choose the proper one. There is a simple secret to beautiful skin, though. In a word: consistent, quality skin care.

Like the most delicate part of our body, the skin requires everyday care. The basic ways to take care of any kind of skin is cleansing, toning and moisturizing. Skin cleansing is a very important part of personal hygiene. It helps to remove the make up, dirt, oil from your skin.

The most important function is killing the bacteria which try to infect your skin, and cleansing devices can help to remove this from your face and your body if you have body acne that you want to prevent or treat. Starting a daily skin care routine is important, but finding an effective skin cleansing product that keeps your appearance as youthful as possible is even better!

Facial cleansing should be effective without irritating the skin, and to achieve this it is important to choose the most appropriate products. Nowadays there are many products for keeping the skin clear. There are cleansing oils, cleansing wipes, cleansing milk, cleansing gels and so on. There are also different types of cleanser which you can choose from.

Every one of them is useful on their own way. You can use devices or products other than your hands to apply the cleanser, in order to get a deeper, or more exfoliating (depending on your goal) cleansing.

The Buff Puff facial sponge is used for deep cleansing of your face and skin, but it’s mostly for exfoliation. It will leave your skin feeling clean and refreshed. The feeling is just wonderful! Many machines exist for lively and pure skin. Ultrasound facial machine emits ultrasonic waves that can be ideal for the skin. This is a possible way to get rid from unwelcome bacteria.

Have you tried a spa care yet? If not, you should definitely do it with effective, affordable, professional facial, beauty, body treatments available. What dermatologists say is that there are several ways to cleanse the face, but the ingredients that work for one person may not work for someone else. Therefore, look for a cleanser that suits your skin type.

One mistake that all some of us commit is to cleanse the face too often. This should be avoided, if we want perfect skin. The only care this skin requires is cleaning it at least twice a day. You should take good care of your skin, in order to be gorgeous and pure. Cleansing your skin should be part of the daily routine. It can also be enjoyable, like you’re in a spa too, if you choose to use a skin cleansing device.

My First Reports of Using the Clarisonic Facial Cleanser

Ok, this is NOT yet a full on review of the Clarisonic facial cleansing device that I recently purchased online, this is just my first impressions of the product after using it a grand total of three times so far.

I bought this cool contraption (the Pro version with 4 speeds) after reading glowing reviews on a few websites about it. A lot of people with acne felt that it really helped to shrink their pores, refine their skin tone and deep cleanse their pores. They felt that they had less breakouts after using it for a while too.

I’ve been eye balling this device for a while, wanting to try it but procrastinating because of the almost $200 price tag. I finally took the plunge and bought it though. The set up was fine. You have to charge it on it’s charging cradle for 24 full hours before using it. So I charged it from about 4 PM to 4 PM the next day. I used it for the first time at night, to get all my makeup off.

I was surprised at how soft the bristles were. The gentle brush is included with the product, depending on your skin type or goals, you may want to buy a harsher one. The fine brush worked ok for me. The instructions to use the different settings was a little confusing at first and I had to read over them a few times. It works off of lights and beeps instead of obvious “dummy” settings that tell you exactly what they are. I’d change that if there was something I could change about the product.

The device beeps every time you are done with one area of your face, and lets you know when it’s time to move to the next area of your face. You use circular motions and barely press the brush to your face, the machine does the work for you.

My skin feels extremely clean when done using this product, almost squeaky clean. It also feels pretty dry because I’m sure I’m not used to this type of deep cleansing, so I make sure to put EXTRA moisturizer on afterwards. I like the device so far, but it’s too early to tell after only three uses if it’s actually making my skin look better or less prone to breakouts. More details, experiences and reviews coming as I get to know my Clarisonic better!

Summer’s Coming : Avoid Back Acne

It is natural biproduct of being a teenager, whether you are a boy or a girl. However, more and more, adults up to the age of even 50 years old are suffering from back acne as well. In most of the cases, it affects to people feel as self-conscious which can lead to social isolation or basically never revealing one’s back, whether swimming in a bathing suit or wearing those fun skimpier summer shirts. First we all should understand the causes of acne (Spot, bad skin, a skin condition) before to go discussing home remedies for back acne.

It is the proliferation of sebum which is secreted by the sebaceous glands. The sebaceous glands produce oil on the back, not just the face and chest, especially between the shoulder blades, and this causes people who are acne prone in the first place to break out in this location. The sebum clogs pore and hair follicles through oil and dead cells, thereby attracting bacteria into the skin’s pores and infecting them.

This irritates the skin on the back and leads to the dreaded onset of back acne, which some view as tough to treat because of the hard to reach area. Things like menstruation and pregnancy in females can even lead to back acne.

Sometimes even hereditary factors also contribute to this nuisance of a problem. Even food allergies (like milk and cheese) can cause acne and back acne. Cosmetic and body care products that are not suitable for your body’s chemistry can only irritate this problem further, which is why it is important to choose the right acne treatment products to help get rid of that back acne and treat it on an ongoing basis.

The treatment of this malady will be the same regardless of the actual cause. We are going to talk about ways to both treat and prevent back acne from occurring so you can go out in that cute tube top, tank, or bikini without feeling self conscious about your gorgeous, sexy back.

To maintain your self Hygiene: Take a bath or shower, and be sure to thoroughly wash your back daily to keep your back free of dirt, oil and debris that collects there and clogs pores. Especially if you have laid out in the sun or put any sort of sunscreen or pore clogging lotions on your back (this may even require one shower in the morning and one at night, to remove built up debris from the day). Try using a good antibacterial and skin sloughing acne treatment hygiene soap like neem or anti bacteria, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or tea tree, whichever works for you.

Don’t rub the back side too hard or exfoliate aggressively. After any kind of tough physical activity, cleanse the back as your back sweats a lot when you sweat. The clothes which you are wearing that should be neat and clean and laundered, as dirty clothes can actually aggravate back acne. Make sure you use water based soaps and cleansers only on your back.

Some smaller, finer points on how to avoid back acne are : Sleeping Posture: Sleeping on your side may help back acne and sweating, although I like to sleep on my back personally. Always keep your blankets and bed sheet, pillow cover etc neat and clean.

Try to wear breathable materials on hot summer days to avoid excessive back sweat as well, this will help to keep your back aired out and dry, and oil free.

The Trials and Tribulations of Cystic Acne

Cystic acne is a problen that seems unfathomable to us “regular” acne sufferers, because of it’s utter severity and potential to produce long last, deep acne scar tissue. The Causes of Cystic Acne is really the same as the reasons for run of the mill acne vulgaris, but in its place the acne evolves into cysts that form under the skin, deeply embedded.

These cysts are not in point of fact actual cysts although, so no one should fear or believe they are life threatening matters. This form of acne generally happens on the face, upper body or back and tends to be bigger than your regular average pimple.

In addition to these facts, cystic acne tends to be extremely painful or produce constant exceptional aching or throbbing underneath the skin! Often times, you won’t even be able to see the actual cyst surface for days, you’ll just see a lump swelling under your skin. Cystic shapes of acne frequently take place when the grouping of too many dead skin cells collected and produce blockage on a deep level to the pores.

If all of these reasons of cystic acne are current in now about everybody than common resistant systems may in fact be playing a big role in avoiding the expansion of this kind of acne. The degree of infection under the skin and the extent to which the cystic acne develops depends on a persons hormone levels and their immune system’s ability to quickly heal the acne postule.

When facing severe cystic acne, you are going to feel like to stay away from the similar things that somebody dealing with usual acne would. It is particularly vital to pass up squeezing and picking at your sores, it forces them to a large extent worse. Keep your hands away from touching your face as well so additional bacteria doesn’t aggravate the situation.

Do not pick or force the cystic acne postule to break, as this will only produce further and more severe scarring that would happen without the forcing open of the lesion.

This kind of scarring can run off very severe substantial marks so it is incredibly vital to do instant treatments on them. Scars from this sort of acne could be permanent, especially if you force them to a head before they are ready. There are of course shots available at a dermatologist’s office that can make them go down fairly quickly if this is an emergency situation as well and you have a big event soon.

Can Your Skin “Hear”?

I just read the most interesting article on a theory that we don’t just hear with our ears, rather our skin may serve as a part of the reason that we receive auditory messages that are then translated by our brains into understandable language.  Betcha didn’t think that your skin was one of the organs you could actually do anything else with? The study is based on the theory that we don’t use any one organ to do anything, particularly sensory duties like sight and hearing.

Rather, our whole bodies sort of act as synthesized, harmonious listening, seeing, feeling tool that works together and processes how we actually perceive things like sound, visions, smell, pain, and so on and so forth. This is such an interesting theory, but it’s just that -a theory.

Hey, wonder if our skin is misbehaving, can we whisper to it to clear up and it will obey? Now THAT would be quite a concept. If someone could just put it into action, they’d be instant millionaires in the world of acne treatment products and regimens!

Men with Facial Hair Aggravate Acne

My husband happens to have a goatee and sideburns, so I get to see firsthand how facial hair can hold grease, dirt and debris on the skin and also inflame the pores just by being there.  He often will get an inflamed pore from an ingrown hair or just plan irritated skin underneath his facial hair. He’ll shave it off once in a while, and the skin that’s under there is often a little bit irritated and may even have a small whitehead or two.

Now, if you take really good care of your skin where you have facial hair, and you make sure you deep cleanse these areas every night, your problems should be minimized from having facial hair blocking your pores, but most guys really don’t have a good facial cleansing routine at night and in the morning. Ok, maybe I’m just speaking for my poor hubby who doesn’t even know I’m throwing him under the bus now, but a  lot of guys only wash their face once a day, maybe at night with their shower or in the morning with their shower.

That’s not good practice for your facial skin, because you need to get the oil and dirt off your face that compiled on your face overnight in the morning, so that your skin is smooth and shine free all day, and night is the most important time to wash. Why? Because your face has been subjected to dirt, pollution, oil buildup, and all kinds of other stuff that is floating around in the air, waiting to attach itself to the oil on your face like a klingon.

I sort of nag my hubby to wash his face twice a day, but to no avail, because I do notice that he gets enlarged pores and blackheads quite a bit in particular areas.  If you have facial hair fellas, just make sure you wash up twice a day to minimize any pore-clogging issues.
