Zenmed Pure Skin SupplementI truly believe that your skin’s beauty and health comes from within. This means that what you put in to your body dictates how your skin is going to appear, and wholly embodies the cliche that “you are what you eat”.

I’m not saying that using the right products on the outside of your skin is not important as well, it is still tremendously important.

One of my favorite products for the external care of the skin is the zenmed line of skin care and also their acne skin vitamin which also helps combat roasacea, eczema and other skin damaging conditions, because it is so gentle and is also organic, with no harsh chemicals, which is a rare find, especially for one with acne since acne products are unfortunately chock-full of chemicals many times.

A lot of us take a daily multivitamin to keep our health on the up and up, but what about the nutrients our skin craves? Does our daily vitamin, or even our daily diet cover all those vitamins and nutrients that modern science has fortunately found is so vital to our skin?

If you’re a real health nut, and you consume a wide variety of nuts, grains, fruits and veggies, then chances are, your bases may be covered. But even then, your skin may benefit from the use of a vitamin made especially for the skin as well as for acne, since it can offer a potency and concentration of vitamins, as well as a unique blend of them, not found in most whole foods, so you get it all in one shot.

I want to emphasize, you CANNOT replace nutrition with popping vitamins, and eating well is still of vital importance to the health and well being of your skin, not to mention numerous other vital body functions and organs.

Vitamins offer a definite added benefit when it comes to the integrity and continued health of your skin as well as an extra buffer against acne, but they simply cannot be synthesized and utilized by the body the same way whole foods can, and so cannot be a total substitute for nutrition.

However, if you take a vitamin for your acne and the general health of your skin, then if it’s a chewable, make sure you actually chew it, no matter what the taste. You will be able to better digest and break it down and your body will then be able to utilized the nutrients.

I chew all of my vitamins, and always have, especially since I read that if you don’t, sometimes they may pass through your body largely undigested which means you just wasted money on a vitamin that your body didn’t even have the chance to use.

If your vitamin happens to be in capsulated powder form, then you’re all set, but if it’s in a hard pill form, try your best to chew it at least lightly before swallowing it.

Vitamins that you may want to choose for the improved health of your skin as well as helping to calm and heal acne as an addition to whatever acne treatment you’ve chosen, the skin healthy choices include a bevy of antioxidants, such as vitamin A, C, D and E.

Also, alpha lipoic acid, DMAE, Coenzyme Q10, and hyaluronic acid are amazingly regenerative natural chemicals that can actually help firm the skin and help to heal it more quickly, especially in conjunction with antioxidants.
