From Acnemag : Hi Tammy. My best recommendation for hormonal acne is diet. I’ve noticed that when I increase sugar, caffeine and other stimulants, it throws my hormones out of whack. On the other hand, when I’m eating a lot of fish and other foods with omega 3 fatty acids, fruits and veggies, and not a lot of refined carbs, my hormones, and hence my complexion just look a lot smoother and do not break out as much. Sugar, refined starches and caffeine and other stimulants are, in my opinion the worst offenders when it comes to throwing off hormonal balance.

What is your recommendations on hormonal acne? I am 49 and still suffer with this!! I have since age 16…I totally believe mine is hormonal…nothing the derms give are working, and I mean nothing. For the past who knows how many years…any suggestions….???
